Dear Friends:
During Advent this year we will have two special events to help in preparing to celebrate The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus. On Saturday Dec. 6 we will have a communal Anointing of the Sick for those with serious illness, preparing for a hospital pro-cedure, or weakened elderly seeking strength. It will begin after the 4:30 pm mass, about 5:30 pm. This sacrament also gives forgiveness of sin thus healing of the soul.
On Saturday Dec. 13 we will have a special Holy Hour for Eucharistic Adoration from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. With benediction following. We will have the Eucharistic Miracle Exhibition that Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm so make time to come and see that to be inspired about the Real Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus is made present at each mass just as he became Incarnate at Christmas. Let us celebrate his love and presence in our lives.
Thank you to those who donated and worked to give Thanksgiving food baskets to the needy. We had leftovers so we will have food baskets for Christmas also. The Angel Tree Christmas gifts will bring joy to disadvantaged children in our com-munity. Be generous, it is better to give than receive.
Blessings to all,
Fr. Lance Campo
