Please join in as we celebrate St. Michael Parish on September 27. The 10:30 AM St. Michael Feast Day mass will be followed by a social with a meal, hosted by the St. Michael "Angels", at 11:30 AM in the Parish Hall.

We are in need of Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers. Please contact the rectory, if you are interested in participating in either of these ministries.

Fr. Lance will be attending the Archdiocesan Priest Convocation in New Orleans on September 9 to 11. As a result, the Thursday, September 10, 6:00 PM and the Friday, September 11, 8:30 AM masses will be cancelled. Please pray for the priests as they gather together with our new Archbishop, that they are inspired and zealous in their work for the Church as we continue our recovery from the bankruptcy and other challenges we face. Show your St. Michael Pride and help support our ministries! We have both red and white tee-shirts in youth & adult sizes. Aprons are available in white. Please pick up an order form on the back table in the church. Place in envelope and put it in the collection or drop it off at the parish office by October 1st.

This month, our meeting is on Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall.

This month, the Monthly Adoration & Rosary date has changed due to the Labor Day weekend. All are invited to attend on Saturday, September 12th at 9:00 a.m. in the church.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) will be offered in all Archdiocese of New Orleans churches on Wednesday, September 16th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Please consider inviting the healing of Christ into your heart with his promise of mercy.

Welcome Home Sunday will be celebrated at all August 15/16 masses! If you have not yet invited someone to Mass, there is still time. Do not worry about having the perfect words. Simply extend an invitation and trust God to do the rest. As we have been reminded through our consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, every person is deeply loved by God. Let us welcome each person not as a stranger, but as a beloved son or daughter whom the Lord desires to draw closer to Himself.

The Ladies Altar & Social Society is hosting another Sip & Paint Night on September 12th at 6:00 PM in the Parish Hall. Attendees will be doing a FALL painting! The cost is $30.00 per person and the registration deadline is August 30th. Please register on the sign up sheet in the rear of the church. You may place the fee in an envelope labeled Sip & Paint with your name and place into the collection basket or drop off to the office. You must register by August 30 but, if you’d like, you may pay at the door the night of the event.

If one or more of your children are enrolled in religious education, please attend the parent meeting after the 10:30 AM mass on August 23. Note that August 23 is also the first day of class for this school year.
