All adults working with the youth of our parish are required to attend a Safe Environment Training and have a background check completed.  This training is mandatory and is renewed every 3 years.  If you need this training, contact the CCD coordinator or the church secretary!
 
If you are already trained and have a background check, you can renew online.  This is only for those who have participated in face-to-face initial training sessions in the past.  

Once you have completed your online renewal course, a certificate will be mailed to St. Michael the Archangel.  After the certificate is received,  at no cost to you, a background check will then be ordered.

Opening mass for the 2025/2026 school year is set for Sunday, Sept 7 at the 10:30 AM Family Mass.  It's not too late to enroll your child in religion classes.

Classes will be separated into two semesters: September 7th through December 14th and
January 4th through April 26th.  ALL grades will have class on Sunday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM.

Registration forms are located on the CCD sign-in table at the entrance of the church or by clicking here.  You may place your registration form and payment marked 'CCD' in the collection basket or the box on the table, or you may mail it to the parish office at P.O. Box 1498, Paradis, LA 70080.

First Holy Communion - It takes two years for your child to prepare for this Sacrament.  Preparation is normally done with 1st & 2nd graders (6 & 7 year olds).

Confirmation - It takes two years for your child to prepare for this Sacrament.  Preparation is normally done with 9th & 10th graders, while the Sacrament is actually received during the fall of their 11th grade year.

Confirmation Candidates - The following candidates have begun intense preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation to be received in November. Please pray for them to be open to the Holy Spirit's blessings.  They are: Kayden Barrios, Kayla Dupre, William Hogan, Layne Landry, Autumn Mayville, Cooper Miller, Cheyenne Naquin, Abram Ojeda, Cecile Ojeda, Yazmin Ruiz, Paola Tinajero, and Coby Waguespack
