Roll up your sleeves for Church Workdays on October 3rd & October 10th at 7:00 AM. St. Michael the Archangel Church property needs some outside refreshing. We will need volunteers to come together to make our church property, beautiful thus enhancing our worship of our Lord. Tasks include: pressure washing, cleaning gutters, weeding, removal of bushes, tree trimming, etc. If you are available to help, please contact the parish office.

On September 20th, our special collection supports the Catholic Communication Campaign. This campaign represents a mission of love to share the gospel message of hope with people in the United States using the internet, television, radio and print media. Half of the money we collect remains here in the Archdiocese of New Orleans to fund local communications efforts. The other half supports the communication activities of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and other projects across the United States. Your help spreads the gospel message! Please join in as we celebrate St. Michael Parish on September 27. The 10:30 AM St. Michael Feast Day mass will be followed by the praying of the St. MichaelChaplet and a social with a meal, hosted by the St. Michael "Angels", at 11:30 AM in the Parish Hall.

Show your St. Michael Pride and help support our ministries! We have both red and white tee-shirts in youth & adult sizes. Aprons are available in white. Please pick up an order form on the back table in the church. Place in envelope and put it in the collection or drop it off at the parish office by October 1st.

We are in need of Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers. Please contact the rectory, if you are interested in participating in either of these ministries.

Fr. Lance will be attending the Archdiocesan Priest Convocation in New Orleans on September 9 to 11. As a result, the Thursday, September 10, 6:00 PM and the Friday, September 11, 8:30 AM masses will be cancelled. Please pray for the priests as they gather together with our new Archbishop, that they are inspired and zealous in their work for the Church as we continue our recovery from the bankruptcy and other challenges we face. This month, our meeting is on Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall.

This month, the Monthly Adoration & Rosary date has changed due to the Labor Day weekend. All are invited to attend on Saturday, September 12th at 9:00 a.m. in the church.
