Welcome Home Sunday will be celebrated at all August 15/16 masses! If you have not yet invited someone to Mass, there is still time. Do not worry about having the perfect words. Simply extend an invitation and trust God to do the rest. As we have been reminded through our consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, every person is deeply loved by God. Let us welcome each person not as a stranger, but as a beloved son or daughter whom the Lord desires to draw closer to Himself.

The Ladies Altar & Social Society is hosting another Sip & Paint Night on September 12th at 6:00 PM in the Parish Hall. Attendees will be doing a FALL painting! The cost is $30.00 per person and the registration deadline is August 30th. Please register on the sign up sheet in the rear of the church. You may place the fee in an envelope labeled Sip & Paint with your name and place into the collection basket or drop off to the office. You must register by August 30 but, if you’d like, you may pay at the door the night of the event.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) will be offered in all Archdiocese of New Orleans churches on Wednesday, September 16th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Please consider inviting the healing of Christ into your heart with his promise of mercy.

If one or more of your children are enrolled in religious education, please attend the parent meeting after the 10:30 AM mass on August 23. Note that August 23 is also the first day of class for this school year.

In-Home Marriage Preparation Mentor Couple trainings will be available through the Office of Marriage and Family Life. The first training will be held on August 15th from 8:30am until 3:00pm at St. Catherine of Siena parish. If you are interested in the Marriage Prep Ministry for St. Michael the Archangel, please contact Father Lance or call the parish office for more information.

On the August 8 and 9 weekend, our parish takes up The Catholic Relief Services Collection. Funds from this collection provide food to the hungry, support displaced refugees, and bring Christ's love and mercy to vulnerable people here and abroad. Welcome Home Sunday is coming up on August 16th. Archbishop Checchio is inviting every Catholic in the Archdiocese of New Orleans to personally invite one person to Mass that weekend. Begin by praying now: Who is God placing on your heart? Perhaps it is someone who has not returned since the pandemic, someone who has drifted away from the Church, someone carrying hurt or disappointment, someone searching for meaning, or someone who has never experienced the beauty of the Catholic faith. Ask the Sacred Heart of Jesus to show you whom He is calling home.

Due to Independence Day, our monthly adoration and rosary has been moved to the following Saturday. All are invited to attend on Saturday, July 11 at 9:30 AM in the church.

The parish office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
