This year, Giving Tuesday, our national giving day, is scheduled for December 2, 2025. Many people want to donate extra to help our Catholic churches and schools. For instance, St. Michael the Archangel is actively fundraising to help pay for our recent organ purchase. To simplify giving to diocesan churches and schools, the archdiocese adopted iGiveCatholic. Please consider a donation to St. Michael's. You may donate as early as November 17, 2025. I have provided three ways for you to access St. Michael the Archangel's iGiveCatholic page. The three links are: the iGiveCatholic title of this article, an iGiveCatholic button on the homepage, and an iGiveCatholic, word link under the Info and History tab.
Dear Friends, On Nov. 23, the Feast of Christ the King, we will hold a family mass and afterward a Eucharistic Procession around the grounds of the church. We will have a simple social afterward in the parish hall. The Daughters of St. Paul religious sisters of the Pauline book and gift store in Metairie will be here that weekend with items for sale. Please try to participate in the procession and invite your family, neighbors, and friends. The Knights of Columbus will join us this year. We will proclaim our faith in Jesus to the world. May our presence call others back to the church. Yours in Christ, Fr. Lance
Our parish is having a Catholic Book Fair on the weekend of November 22-23. The Daughters of St. Paul from Metairie, LA, will be here before and after all the masses, beginning with the Saturday vigil. Stop by to browse the selection of Catholic Bibles and books on prayer, lives of the saints, spiritual reading, etc. for all ages in both English and Spanish languages. These items will be available for purchase by cash, card, or device. Pauline Books & Media is a ministry of the Sisters, whose mission in the church is evangelization through all forms of the communications media. Their website is www.pauline.org.
